A San Francisco take on a classic German beer style. It was brewed with Pilsener Malt, Acidulated Malt, and Malted Wheat and then kettle-Soured in our traditional copper kettle for 2 days to produce a nice level of acidity and tartness. We then fermented in our open Ale fermentor and the result is spectacular. The beer is a bright and refreshingly tart representation of this classic style and is perfect to drink in this warm SF weather!
Spicy sausages, chips and salsa
The freshest Steam Beer you'll ever have! It's the Anchor Steam Beer you know and love, but unfiltered and kegged straight from the cellar tank!

Bright, refreshing, drinkable, our take on the famous style from Cologne, Germany. Fermented cold at 64F with an honest to goodness Kolsch yeast strain from the banks of the Rhine river.
Pairing: Lighter dishes, salads, etc
Coastal Red received the 2016 GABF bronze medal in the Strong Ales Category. Spicy banana bread in a glass. Get hints of fig and black currant while the velvety body coats your papillae. May the alcoholic warmth be your cozy blanket on these cold Bay Area nights.

Winner of our 2nd contest, originally brewed by then aspiring phenom homebrewer, John Montes De Oca, who is now one of Barebottle's full time brewers. Junipero is a Belgian-style tripel inspired by San Francisco's first monk, Junipero Serra, brewed with Juniper berries.
Steamed Mussels, thin crust basil pizza,
We airlifted 70 lbs of fresh Simcoe hops right out of Yakima, Washington for this beer, and used a whopping 8 lbs of fresh hops in the brite tank. Simcoe Fresco is, as the name describes, super fresh, and molto delizioso. Saluti!
The dry-hopped sister to Simcoe Fresco, this is the dry hopped version. Great to taste side-by-side with the Fresco version.
Our second ‘Shakes’ Fruit IPA, blending 25+ gallons of fresh strawberry banana juice into a beautiful hazy IPA with stone fruit character, full mouthfeel, an a light finish.
Fresh Cut Strawberrys,
Features Citra, Simcoe, and Mosaic hops.
Brewed with Belgian Pilsner malt and Sorachi Ace hops, fermented with the Yeast Bay's Saison Blend II. Hog Island oyster shells and local kelp were added to the mash and boil, redwood essential oil was added to the bright, in hopes to create a nose reminiscent of a Northern California beach.
A blend of our Tangerine Dream and Ultrasourus Wrecks, Brain Laser tastes like a 6% beer but clocks in at 8.6%, so imbibe with caution. Or reckless abandon, if you're not driving. The lactic acid of the sour plays perfectly with the tangerine hoppy notes of the IPA - far better than expected, to be honest. Pairs well with trustworthy friends.
Bursting with fruity dry hopped clouds of Motueka and Citra and weighing in a 7.8% ABV and 30 IBU, "We're With Paris" New England-style IPA feels like summer vacation
A traditional, crisp Belgian Witbier, (White Beer), brewed with wheat, Indian coriander, and Seville bitter orange peel. Also, brains.

Single Malt and Single Hop IPA - 100% Two Row and 100% Hallertau Blanc hops.
Hops to your dome, Son!
Nelson, Nelson, we've got Nelson here!
Maple Vanilla Pecan stout
We had the cuckoo idea to painstakingly toast flaked, organic coconut to a perfect, golden brown, then added it to the mash and boil at an insane rate of 10# per barrel. Brewed with homebrewer and CrowdBrewed supporter Randy Swanson, using a recipe for which he's won several awards - the Brown Ale provides a base of biscuit, chocolate, and roasted notes on which the toasted coconut sings. The result? A coconut beer that still tastes like beer. Magnum, Cascade, EKG hops. GigaYeast NorCal Ale yeast.
Hola! What do you get when a bearded-white-guy-beer-geek brews an Ale inspired by the clean, crisp taste of Mexican Lagers? ….. El Gringo! We’ve packed in a ton of flavor and character with the use of Pilsner and Vienna Malts, and a touch of Flaked Maize and a low fermentation temp keep this beer super light and refreshing. Perle Hops lend spicy and floral notes. GigaYeast NorCal Ale yeast.
On the last Saturday each September, The Portola hosts the “Portola Garden Tour” where residents open their beautiful gardens to the public to benefit Horticulture students at SFCC and help fund beautification projects in The Portola neighborhood. We asked some of these local gardeners to grow hops, which we then used less than 24 hours after harvesting to brew this Hyper-local, Fresh Hop Ale. Magnum pellets for bittering, hyper-locally-grown Chinook and Cascade fresh hops for flavor/aroma. GigaYeast NorCal Ale yeast.
On a recent trip to Maine, we borrowed Mom's car, which lost its hubcaps nearly daily. Stopped at one red light, our son said, "Hey dad
our hubcap just rolled up next to us."" Rolling Hubcap will always remind us of that wonderful summer trip to New England
Automatic is a functional and snappy export lager brewed in the tradition of the Dortmunder classic. Its extreme refreshment is fueled by the rich flavors of heirloom Barke Pilsner malt and the seamless integration of Hallertau and Hersbrucker hops. Unfailingly satisfying, Automatic is as easy as its name suggests.

Bright with citrus notes
Belgian wheat ale with coriander and lemon
Hill 88 is our double IPA and all double IPAs are not created equal. Ours has an all malt backbone that lends a touch of sweetness to an assertive hop profile. And we use a unique hopping technique called Omakase-style hopping. Hill 88 is named after one of the highest spots in the Headlands where the Nike missile launch pads still sit. We might have had one or two beers up there back in the early days. Maybe.
Buttery deserts and slow roasted meats
Pt Bonita is our Bohemian Pilsner. It’s crisp and spicy from the rye malt and noble hop character, yet has enough body from the rustic grains to accompany your breakfast, lunch or dinner. Named after the lighthouse northwest of the famed Golden Gate Bridge, this beer will shine a light on the modern pilsner.
Raw fish, light acidic fare
Wolfback Ridge is our rye IPA with a heavy dose of Mosaic hops. We favor balanced beers at Headlands and WBR is no exception, although this one has leanings towards a more West Coast style. The tropical and floral hop aromas pierce through the grain bill to create brew that skews towards hops, but doesn’t wreck your palate. Wolfback Ridge is an off-the-beaten-path trail that connects to Hill 88, the namesake of our Double IPA. We suggest you hit the trails with both of our ales and taste your way through the Headlands.
Aged Cheeses and Hearty meats and veggies
Rice lager brewed with sorachi ace hops and imported yuzu
Belgian style golden ale brewed with a belgian yeast with a slightly fruity finish
A classic Belgian style Dubbel with notes of dried fruits and chocolate emanate from the glass. Pleasant flavors of Plum, Dates, and Raisins hit the palate with an undertone of chocolate and bready notes. Lingering finish holds similar flavors to the palate, with a more accentuated bready note.
A traditional Belgian Witbier brewed with coriander and orange peel. Light in color and mildly hazy. Notes of banana and clove with a clean finish
A slightly tart, refreshing ale brewed with lime, pink Himalayan sea salt, and fresh Mango. The lime leaves a soft citrus fragrance to this light and sessionable ale perfect for a sunny day. Originally brewed in collaboration with the Pink Boots Society, this Gose won a Bronze medal at the California State Fair Beer competition for session beers.

This Belgian Golden Strong was brewed with 100% Belgian Pilsner and Philz Sooo Good light roast blend. Sip for pear, apple and banana notes from the Belgian Trappist yeast that blend amazingly well with citrus and nutty notes from the coffee.
This refreshingly bright, Tropical Blonde Ale is the first in a few fun beers we have in the pipe for our 2nd Anniversary. Pilsner and Extra Pale malts lay a light, slightly grainy foundation for a new expressive yeast that finishes super dry, and features notes of pineapple and mango. We bumped up the tropical by adding subtle amounts of Passionfruit & Guava. The light, dry finish makes this brew a sessionable summer crusher.
Nothing but Simpsons Golden Promise malt + Oats in the malt bill. Big honeydew melon, cantaloupe and strawberry on the nose and palate from Citra & Huell Melon hops. Get drunk on the juice!
Brewed with Pilsner and Wheat malts and kettle-soured with Lactobacillus. We added a bit of plum puree to round out the acidity a bit. The result is a pink-hued, refreshing sour with subtle notes of raspberry, strawberry and stone fruit.
A special collaboration with the California Academy of Science featuring botanicals that can be found on their living roof (yarrow, rose hips, sage and honeysuckle). A sessionable bitter with bright and complex herbal notes. Named for Alice Eastwood, hero of the Academy.
A traditional ESB, Blue Bell Bitter showcases the full flavor potential of heirloom Maris Otter malt alongside Goldings hops and our house English ale yeast. Together, these ingredients produce a flavor profile at once sweet, bitter, earthy, fruity, and rich with deep, biscuit malt character. It's the first beer ever brewed at Magnolia.
English malts and yeast meet classic American hops in this balanced and nuanced strong beer. Columbus for bittering with large doses of Simcoe and Cascade at the end of the boil give this beer an American Strong Ale/Barleywine feel with the somewhat high 65 IBU and “C-hop” flavors. The alcohol and bitterness nicely balance out the sweetness from the large amount of malt used, leaving the palate cleansed.
This is a light, crisp and refreshing golden ale in the style of those brewed in the German city of Cologne (Köln). A slightly sweet aroma with a hint of grassiness leads to herbal and spicy hop character and sweet malt notes. Though fermented at a cool temperature for an ale, our Kölsch ale yeast provides a complex, fruity finish fading to a crisp hop note at the very end.
Magnolia's latest release - a Double IPA brewed with Citra, Hallertau Blanc and Mosaic hops. Can't forget the malt: German pale malt, biscuit, Munich and caramalt give this beer just the right amount of backbone. Last but not least, we fermented this one with our Kölsch yeast strain.
One of Magnolia's most-loved and asked-for beers, an over-the-top IPA we've been brewing since 1999. It's a hybrid, built around English Maris Otter malt and fermented with our English ale yeast but then packed with a powerful hop charge like an American IPA, including big dry hop character. American hops dominate but Maris Otter comes through with a malty counterpoint in a way not often found in this style of beer.

Belgian Golden Strong Ale
A cross-coast collaboration with our friends at Sam Adams, mixing the funky fresh fruit notes of their in-house sour yeast culture with the spicy earthiness of our signature yerba mate.
Blossoming scents of spring, the taste of Bay-Area honey, infused with our bees' favorite flavors: fragrant, fennel-like yarrow, the resinous bite of eucalyptus, lavender's sweet high note of mint and berry.
This friendly IPA is golden and a touch sweet with a minty, herbal bitterness from yerba mate, a South American tea, which provdes as much caffeine as a Coca-Cola.
Pucker up! A bright berry blonde ale packed with more than ten pounds of raspberries per barrel. A spoonful of jelly on the nose with a clean, tingly tart finish.
